Life Sciences Compliance Lawyer



Axiom is currently seeking a Life Sciences Compliance Lawyer for a Pharmaceutical company. This position is remote, however you must be located in Ontario or Alberta, Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and analyzing risks and delivering practical, creative solutions to the business issues and regulatory issues faced by clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to privacy and security, fraud and abuse, and other related matters.
  • Actively support all commercial operations and related functional areas in providing compliance advice.
  • Ability to thrive in a large, fast-paced environment with a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the life sciences industry or private practice supporting clients in the life science industry.
  • Able to negotiate and draft complex contracts and related documents.
  • Experience conducting internal corporate investigations of potential violations of legal/regulatory requirements and of corporate requirements/expectations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with pharmaceutical and medical device regulation, including product registration, licensing, and promotion.
  • Active bar membership in Alberta or Ontario.
