Articled Student or Junior Lawyer (0-2 year call)

Reedman Law is a law firm located in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Our firm started with a single lawyer five years ago and we have since grown to two lawyers, a paralegal and office manager along with two summer law students. The firm’s core practice is comprised of bankruptcy and insolvency law, litigation, asset protection/wills and estates law.

The Firm

Our core values include compassion, empathy, integrity, learning, positive self-improvement, courage and a growth mindset. These values are important for our team members to have in order to create a positive working environment.

In our bankruptcy practice, we primarily act for individuals and Licensed Insolvency Trustees in personal insolvency proceedings. Our practice in this regards focuses on assisting financially distressed individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises with getting a financial fresh start – both inside the courtroom and outside the courtroom. We are also regularly involved in restructuring proceedings such as out of court workouts, foreclosures, receiverships, Division I proposals and bankruptcies.

We do not act for institutional lenders such as banks or other financial institutions.

We have a small but vibrant appellant practice including participating in proceedings at the BC Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada.

Our wills and estates practice incorporates elements of our bankruptcy practice by advising on asset protection strategies, insolvent estates, estate planning, probate and estate administration and litigation.
