Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Lawyer. You will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, attending court and administrative proceedings, meeting clients, and assisting senior lawyers with case preparation and analysis. You will have a fully-furnished office with a large window. You will have access to a paralegal and bookkeeper. You will receive mentorship and training necessary to build your confidence and skillset.

Qualifications

  • Member of the Law Society of British Columbia in Good Standing
  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited institution
  • Legal research, legal writing, and document drafting skills
  • Courtroom experience and people skills
  • Knowledge of family law and civil litigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
