Rate: $20 per hour
Hours: Full-time
Duration: 16 weeks
Location: Remote within Canada

Botler is looking for someone to join our team as a Junior Legal Researcher.

Description:
Research, analyze, and summarize different policies and areas of the law from various jurisdictions in support of machine learning models
Verify the accuracy of outputs generated by machine learning models in accordance with the respective policies and laws
Gather and analyze research data, such as policy documents, statutes, decisions, legal articles, codes, and documents.
Draft and prepare briefs, correspondences, documents, and other relevant files as necessary

Qualifications:
Currently completing a relevant Bachelor’s degree
Canadian law and/or policy-related coursework preferred
Solid knowledge of Canadian legislation and statutory interpretation
Experience conducting legal research and writing

Skills:
Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated and confident working independently, as well as part of a team
Ability to prioritize, manage time, and meet deadlines
Comfort with tools including Google Workspace, Asana, and Zoom

Language:
Fluency in English is essential
French language skills would be an asset

Additional Requirements:
This role will be entirely remote so the ability to work remotely within Canada with a reliable internet connection and access to a computer will be necessary
Successful completion of a background check will be required prior to commencing work with Botler AI
